Borderline Prime Doom Metal / Co. Tipperary

BORDERLINE PRIME were a four piece hailing from Nenagh in Tipperary. I’m not sure exactly when the band first formed, but I’d hazard a guess around 2009/2010. From what I can tell they have had a few releases in recent years. The first of which was the 3-track ‘Blacker EP’ in 2010 and there’s also mention on their Myspace page about a second ‘U Lie EP’ from 2011. But a can’t find anything else on either of these other than some cover art, track listings and there’s a video on there too for the track ‘G.O.D.’ from their ‘Blacker EP’. Their last effort, ‘Born From Darkness EP’ was released at the end of 2012. A great release that deserved a lot more attention than it got.

In 2012 the band called time as BORDERLINE PRIME and have since re-emerged with  a new focus as ZYLUM. This new incarnation of a well supported band with four dedicated musicians, bringing together a mix of industrial metal with slightly doom like tempos, promises to bring something new to the Munster and Irish metal scene.
