Erosion have been wowing audiences since establishing coming together in 2015 with their brand of alternative rock, thrash and prog. Individual members had been playing around Belfast for a few years before coming together.
Not long after forming, they recorded a three track EP to promote themselves. Gavin Burnside was added on bass to allow them perform live and they soon hit the stage around Belfast. They later released another EP in 2017 entitled ‘Gunslinger’. The tracks on both are currently unavailable but can be viewed through their bandcamp, ReverbNation and Facebook videos.
Through supporting many touring bands from here and abroad, the band built up a healthy live reputation. They are one of the more in demand acts on the local scene. In February 2018, the band released their debut album entitled ‘The Cyclopean Passage’. This was recorded at JSR Audio in Belfast by Josh Robinson. He also contributed towards some of the vocals. A select few of the tracks were recorded at Manor Park Studios.
Since releasing this album, Gavin Burnside has left the band. They are in the process of selecting a new bassist.
