Embers Of Earth Metalcore / Co. Down

EMBERS OF EARTH is the Metalcore solo project from Luke Carlisle, based in Bangor, Co. Down.

Metalcore wouldn’t be my preferred metal style, by any stretch! But I have to tip my hat in appreciation when something is done well. And this is certainly done well. The programmed drumming is a little off-putting, but not enough to detract from the overall package.

The debut “Release The River” EP was released in July 2014 with Aaron Vance (GACY’S THREADS) providing the lead aggressive vocals. Initial guitar tracks were recorded at home, after which Jonny Munro (GACY’S THREADS) at Bearcat Belfast took over the producing.

Now! Metalcore wouldn’t be my preferred metal style, by any stretch. But I have to tip my hat in appreciation when something is done well. And with EMBERS OF EARTH the songwriting, musicianship and production are certainly done very well. The programmed drumming is a little off-putting, but not enough to detract from the overall package. Live drums for the next recording would make all the difference, in my opinion. And apparently a second EP is already written and ready to be recorded in the coming months.
