Countervela Experimental / Co. Antrim

COUNTERVELA is an Experimental/Prog-Sludge-Metal band from Northern Ireland formed in March 2005. The line-up features members of MADRA, STAND-UP GUY, PIER19 and ECLECTIC. Blending samples, hard riffing guitars, gentle atmospheric piano & both clean & shouted vocals, the four members provide a new angle of view on post-metal ideas. The band has toured Ireland multiple times. Their sound is marked by blending of styles, utilizing beauty & violence.

They have produced 2 EPs… “Countervela” in 2006 and “Date Created” in 2009.
