WARPATH to record new EP in early 2015… Posted: 04/12/2014 by John O'Brien

Dublin’s Brutal Death Metal hellions, WARPATH will be heading to Foel Studios in the UK to record the EP in January. The studio has been previously graced by the likes of NAPALM DEATH, CEREBRAL BORE, DYSCARNATE and our very own PRIMORDIAL and MAEL MÓRDHA, among the names of bands who have recorded there.

The band were originally set to record drum tracks separately as sticksman Dario Di Ruzza is heading to Poland for six months in the New Year as part of his studies, but as it turns out he’ll be heading to Wales with the rest of the band now too! A full albums worth of material is written, but only five tracks are fully completed. So rather than rushing the remaining tracks and delay recording till late next year, WARPATH have decided that an EP is the best option. The band also hope to have a very special guest from one of their biggest influences contribute vocals on one the tracks!! No details on who that is yet, but as as soon as we do, we’ll be sure to let you know!

The band also have two drummers lined up to audition for Dario’s temporary replacement so they can still play live shows while he is away!

WARPATH are headlining the ‘Bad Reputation Christmas Party’ on the 19th December in the Kasbah Social Club, Limerick and the ‘Winter Assault’ on December 27th @ Fibber MaGee’s, Dublin.
