Leanan Sídhe (Official Video) by Unkindness Of Ravens (2015)

A video for the song ‘Leanan Sídhe’, which was filmed and produced by the band over eight months, while they simultaneously recorded their debut album “Under Stolen Skies”.

The video featured dramatic footage captured with drones of the karst landscape of the Burren, their home in the Slieve Bloom Mountains and saw the band visit the Pollnagollum Caves, which inspired J.R.R. Tolkien to create the character Gollum in the Lord of the Rings.

The video, which received positive attention at home and among audiences abroad impressed by their dark take on Irish myth and scenery, was a showcase for the band’s emerging style and aesthetic; with down-tuned and stirring string arrangements as a backdrop to haunting organ and distorted violin, fused with intricate drums, vocal harmonies and reverb drenched distorted guitars.
