How would you like to play on the same bill as Mastodon, Anthrax, Gojira, BEHEMOTH! and Twisted Sister? Well, that can very well become a reality thanks to METAL 2 THE MASSES! With a selection of the UK and Europe’s finest unsigned metal bands taking part each year, the Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses is a fantastic opportunity to get your band in front of the right people who can change the very course of your potential musical career! Oh, and there’s also the chance of blowing the roof off the Bloodstock New Blood stage in front of 3,000 metal loving punters!
This years Metal 2 The Masses comes with a lot more opportunities for the bands involved with a huge amount of exposure syndicated across media publications, your band will be part of the Nationally Advertised Metal 2 The Masses Tour, featuring the bands in publications such as our media partners Metal Hammer and many more besides. Not only this, but the number of online magazines, E Zines and forums that will feature the venue and some bands are just too numerous to mention. Next year see’s the introduction of Metal 2 The Masses – New From The Underground, an official website run by the Bloodstock team in the UK that will be featuring masses of content from all the bands across all regions to an audience of hundreds of thousands.

The structure to the 2016 M2TM has changed compared to the last two years the competition has been run…
– 35 bands from all over the Republic of Ireland. 5 bands per heat.
– All the bands will play a minimum 30-minutes of original music.
– There is a crowd vote and judges vote for both the heats and semi finals.
– There is also special guest judges for the 3 semi finals. 6 bands per semi final.
– Special guest judges will select 1 Wildcard band that will get a chance to play in the final.
– The final will have 7 bands.
– Simon Hall (BEHOLDER), stage manager to B.O.A will be there to select the winner who will go on to play the New Blood Stage in August 2016.
