D.S.F.A. Hardcore / Co. Antrim
Following the break-up in 1999 of their previous band DISSENT, Paul Appleyard and Ryan McCallum quickly got the ball rolling again and formed the short lived Hardcore Metal band D.S.F.A. Although the band lasted only about a year, they still managed to churn out a number of recordings.
In 2000 they released their ‘Seven EP’, a split EP with Wicklow band 2000 STRONG and also covered the track ‘Survival Of The Streets’ on ‘Ushering in a New Age Quarrel: A Tribute to the Cro Mags’ which also featured 2000 STRONG. Everything was recorded during the same session at Blastfurnace Studios, Derry. December 1999. Engineered by Mik O’Connell.
They gigged around Ireland a few times and supported EXTREME NOISE TERROR, STAMPIN’ GROUND and LABRAT. The band also toured the UK once with FREEBASE which according to Paul Appleyard, “…was so traumatic we split up directly after that tour”
