MURDOCK: New Bassist, New Label, New Track… Posted: 23/01/2015 by John O'Brien
Hardcore/Punk/Noise Metallers MURDOCK have announced that they have now joined the ranks of ‘Basick Records’, who will be releasing the band’s long-awaited brand new “Dead Lung” album on April 13th, 2015.
In anticipation of the impending release, the Irish 3-piece have released a stream of brand new track ‘Deer Noises’, the latest song to be taken from upcoming album.
The band have also recently been joined on bass by Rob Powderly of HERO IN ERROR and formerly RED ENEMY, and will be touring relentlessly throughout 2015 to support “Dead Lung” , kicking off with the following upcoming dates:
Jan-29 The Macbeth – London, UK
Jan-31 Nottingham Rock City – Nottingham, UK
Feb-01 Voodoo Lounge – Dublin, Ireland (w/ Sick Of It All & BAM)
Feb-02 The Limelight – Belfast, NI (w/Sick Of It All & BAM)
Feb-07 Fred Zepplins – Cork, Ireland (NOISEFEST 2015)
Destroying all preconceived genre rules by smashing them into the ground, MURDOCK inter-blend ferocious metal, rock and roll, noise, jazz and punk with off-kilter, intense jarring time signatures and deliver it with an honest, sincere and inexhaustible passion.
Having gained an outstanding reputation for their intense, reckless and destructive live show, MURDOCK play past the limit of their abilities with a disregard for their own well-being and the comfort levels of their audiences, whilst never compromising their inherent precision. However their level of energy and conviction is unsurprising given that they honed their skills sharing staged with the likes of EVERY TIME I DIE, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SICK OF IT ALL, ROLO TOMASSI and many more.
