About The Irish Metal Archive
The Irish Metal Archive is a non-profit, DIY operation started in 2010 by John O’ Brien and set up to help promote and preserve the Irish Metal Scene. The aim is to catalog and preserve everything related to Irish rock and metal from it’s earliest roots to present day.
The Archive features profiles and releases from current and past bands along with free content made available to stream or download by bands themselves. But it also hosts a vast collection of long ‘Out-Of-Print’ demos and releases, also with permission from bands… Live audio recordings of gigs including the Siege Of Limerick festival… Live video footage and music videos including the entire Cork Winterfest video archive… A history of gig poster/flyers/tickets… And scores of Fanzines dating from the 1980’s to present day…

We are also on the lookout for contributors and photographers!
If anyone out there is interested in pitching in to help promote our local Metal Scene by reviewing Irish / Irish related releases, gigs, conducting interviews with local or international touring bands playing here, or just writing about the Irish Rock/Metal/Hardcore/Punk scene in general… then please get in touch an email to [email protected]
